In online games, it's usually like that. If the host is choosing levels or characters you haven't unlocked yet, you'll still fight that character in that level. It's been like that forever.

Actually, the Snake that is in Brawl has the body of MGS2's Snake and the head of MGS3's Snake. Anyway, this thread is based on the fact that the original poster doesn't know why Snake is in, so all the replies are useless.

Mewtwo must not go. He's an ultimate badass. They just need to fix him heavily. He was hard to use in Melee but I think they can fix him. He was way too light and slow. It just didn't work.

Wart or any SMB2 characters would make awesome characters in Brawl. I'd like to be able to play as Birdo, a Shy-Guy or even Mouser. Can you imagine a bomb-based character? And Wart would also be awesome. Fact of the matter is this : More SMB2 in Brawl = better game.

Exactly. The game would be actually better if each character would keep the feel of his game instead of being turned into a Smash character. Wind Waker Link would actually be an awesome character because of this. He'd stand out, yes, but in a good way.

We're getting the last character poll update tonight since the poll is ending on the 6/9. I'm sure he has a good idea of who's popular or not after doing the poll.

That would make sense if we were getting clones characters but we're not. Get with the times. Btw, Celda Link can have a whole new moveset and there's NO way Ridley can be a Bowser clone.

47 is VERY optimistic. Sakurai said he struggled to fill the Melee roster. If they're recreating every characters from the ground up, how do you expect them to do 47 characters? Recreating the returning characters(around 20) will take a while then they'll probably add around 10-12 new characters.

That's good news though. I can't see MetaKnight taunting to Kirby's happy song.
