No lag, we use real crts, we tried a widescreen once and it didn't go over well, and thus I switched to crts, it worked once and then no one came.

We actually have 2 monitors and set ups For melee which is all I'm willing to do because no one ever shows up for it. If it gets more popular that could be an option!
