This KID has become my inspiration (Any nerf ideas?)

I agree with losing double jump after up-b as a nerf because it allows for too many kill combos that shouldn't be possible (i.e. up-b -> nair on jigglypuff at like 100%). Even though many people don't DI it, I don't think that will stop it from getting nerfed because it's a really safe kill...

Count to 9 - G&W Video Thread + Judgement Highlights

This was from 2 weeks ago but I was finally able to get a hold of this video and decided to share some hype

    Retreating B-Reversal Fast Falled Bacon?

I think it has use because you can definitely use the change of direction to help you space. I do run away b turn around short hop bacon because it spaces the bacon nicely and is sometimes better than standing still and using short hop bacon.

    G&W vs Ganondorf Matchup

You didn't use enough chef which is key in this matchup to limit ganon's options. In game 1 the ganon was jumping around throwing out nairs and bairs for no reason because you weren't doing anything about it. Bacon will help you predict what ganon's going to do so you can punish it. Also it's...

    So, G&W was nerfed

I noticed the Falcon matchup is harder now. I believed we had the advantage in that matchup in 3.5 and one of the main reasons was because frame 1 up B got you out of a lot of falcons up-air > knee juggles if the falcon wasn't perfect in his execution. Now the matchup feels a lot closer to even.

    How to play against G&W?

When I play against a falcon I'm looking to punish one of falcons approaches with dtilt, fade away fairs and bairs ,and f tilt. In neutral be smart with your approaches and conscious of what your opponent is doing when you go in. The scariest thing for G&W (or at least for me) is falcons dair...

"Ask Not for Whom the Bell Tolls..." Game and Watch Matchup + Discussion

In case someone sees that game but wants more footage to critique I got 3 streamed matches at the last weekly and did a lot better. Here's the link: http://www.twitch.tv/hitboxarena/b/658875216 -1:10:40 - Winner's bracket - vs. Risen (Marth) L 2-0 -2:10:40...

"Ask Not for Whom the Bell Tolls..." Game and Watch Matchup + Discussion

Thanks for your input. I'll definitely think about how close I am to my enemy before using shorthop bacon and I'll consider other options. I was definitely auto piloting a lot, partially because I was a little nervous and also because of my lack of matchup experience. Next time I'll have the...

"Ask Not for Whom the Bell Tolls..." Game and Watch Matchup + Discussion

I'm not sure if this is the thread where people were posting videos of themselves and asking for critiques but here's my first streamed match and I'd love some opinions on my play! Skip to 1:01:10 in the vod: http://www.twitch.tv/hitboxarena/b/656794090 I got 2-0'ed this set by HBA Zubat. He's...

    New MR. G&W main

Practice wavedashing until it becomes your main form of movement. G&W is slow, so utilizing his good wavedash will improve his overall speed. Next, work on spacing with fair and bair because those will be your main approach options. Lastly, work on getting G&W's combo game down because it's the...

    Q&A Unleashing a 2-D Horror - A Game and Watch Thread

Uair can combo into any aerial. If you're looking for a kill then definitely use nair or fair after it, and if you're feeling lucky use judgement out of it. If you want to rack up damage then I suggest SHFFLing uairs into a uair + dair (short hop uair, double jump dair) and try to meteor spike...

    Why is GaW considered bad?

His defense isn't awful thanks to his frame 1 Up-B, but it's poor nonetheless. His offensive game is incredibly strong if you understand how to combo and edge-guard with him. Overall, I think he's a strong character, probably mid-tier, that has some trouble in neutral because your opponent will...
