looking at what you said, I'd suggest. . . Kirby. He as a "projectile" (as well as can copy them), has air game, can easily chase people off ledges while getting back, and as far as I know isn't especially easy to master. My second recommendation is Pokemon Trainer. A truly master PT includes...

on the name: running = dash, and dash is another name for hyphen. the namer just thought hyphen sounded alot better than anything else like dash smash, etc.
