Any weeklies or regular events in NYC?

I recently moved to NYC for a summer internship, and have been looking forward to picking Smash back up (haven't played since college, so 3 years) and stepping up my Melee game. I understand that NYC probably has an amazing crowd for Smash, so I was wondering if anyone hosts a regular weekly or...

Danimals marth combo video tournament matches and friendlies

These aren't actually equivalent. Method 1 will send you straight up in the normal dolphin slash trajectory, only in the opposite direction. Method 2 will actually give you a bit more horizontal distance (it will still do so if you do it forward instead of reverse).

So yeah...I can win tournaments too.

    IASA Frames on Landing Lag

I made a thread like this a while back; you can add Marth (n-air, d-air) and Link (d-air, f-air at least) to the list; those were the ones I noticed it for. IASA stands for Interruptible As Soon As; basically as soon as frame X passes, you can cancel the lag into anything else.

    KoJ's Falco

    Talk is cheap.
  12. S

    Good stages for Falco?

Lylat also ****s up your SHDL when it tilts in the opposite direction. You can always hit them with at least one laser in the SHDL with zero tilt; you'll only hit them with a maximum of one regardless of the tilt, but you also have a minimum of zero. Lylat Cruise isn't so good. Corneria...

    KoJ's Falco

You'd have gimped some of those Aether recoveries if you dropped off and regained the ledge as he was Aethering, thus having the invincibility frames as he passed you. This can be difficult to time but, hey, they're friendly matches, no reason not to try it right? Another way to gimp Aether is...

    Stage Spiking... Learn it.

Sure there's a downside. If they're on the ball, they'll just tech the hit.
