I think online tournaments are a great way to open the scene up and allow more people to play, but I also wouldn't want to sacrifice the experience of seeing players compete in the same room as each other in front of an audience.

It's really disappointing to learn this stuff about players I thought were cool. How hard is it to just not involve yourself with <18 year olds romantically/sexually? Part of me wants to believe that there wasn't manipulative/malicious intent, but by 19, 20, 21, 22+ you should know better.

It's an actual thing happening though. There are videos of random people getting attacked by rioters. It's not a racial thing either; some of the people being attacked and having their stores looted are black.
