Punishing with Peach's shoulder pad thingy

I've gotten into a habit of punishing laggier attacks by running through the opponent and usmashing. Most of the time, the sweetspot connects... If not, it's very rare to get the weakspot over the regular usmash when you're that close to the opponent.

Guide CunningKitsune's Guide to Ace Arwing Pilot Fox McCloud

Falco has plenty of stuff to keep you occupied... shine-spike-shine-spike-shine-spike and SHLs aren't all the depths to his character :P He eats through shields too v__v Actually, most of Fox and Falco's shield penetrating strats are about the same. Upon getting something blocked...

    Guide Newbie Peach Training Guide

I pretty much always uthrow at low damage. It sets up for follow-ups really nicely... if it's a floaty, it gives me time to pull turnips.

    Guide Newbie Peach Training Guide

O_o; Um. No... Fthrow on most characters at low percentages allows them to land on their feet. Mid percentages, they fly too far to be grabbed again... Peach's crap grab range doesn't really help. The only really reliable Peach chain grabs are the ones involving her up throw on fastfallers.

    Peach vs Falcon

-_-; Peach can still shut down Falcon's entire approach game with about three moves. Obviously, Falcon can still goad Peach into whiffing something and punish the lag and whatnot, but I think the the fact that he's forced to play around all of Peach's attacks is a pretty good indication that the...

    The Pivot/DA Dash

It's a lot easier if you do it as though you're foxtrotting rather than dashdancing. Tap one direction, and tap the other direction + A to smash. I've gotten it to work pretty consistently...

    Whom does Bowser counter?

GrabfestBowser, isn't it normally better to shield into Fortress rather than shield grab? I know he has uses for his throws, but his overall crap grab speed makes it really hard to shield grab anyone who knows how to l-cancel. Is there something I'm missing here?

Pikachu in depth guide, by pictish freak

RDT, would you mind explaining to us the properties of Pika's uair? The extent of my knowledge is that the trajectory depends on which part of the attack you connect with, but I've never been able to control it. Generally, I just end up doing random uairs and following the angle with whatever...

Pikachu in depth guide, by pictish freak

Hi, helsing here. Nice... it covers a wide variety of subjects, which is good. You might go a little more in-depth with the character match-ups as well. See if you can give us any character-specific combos and whatnot, and tell us what to watch out for. For example, I know for a fact that Falcon...

Indeed. But when are you planning to update? I didn't send that gigantic e-mail for nothing. :beezo:

The path to Short Hop Blastering: a guide (sticky me!)

You let go of the analog stick before shooting. If you wanna move and shoot, you dash forward, short hop, let go of the control stick, shoot, and fastfall. It just takes a bit of practice :/

    Shmooguy's guide to Fox

Oh, yeah. Amount of knockback is different as well. But CauthonLuck, are you sure about Falco's having less range? It's easier for Fox to space himself for the shine, but I don't think it actually has better range. Might need to check, though... guess it's time for training mode again...

    Shmooguy's guide to Fox

There's no difference between Fox and Falco's shines except for the angle of knockback. Priority, range, and speed are all the same.
