I think Ike can do well in any MU, or at least Ally can do well with Ike in any MU. Haha. For me, his toughest are Sheik, Lucario, and I haven't fought a good Snake, so I can't say.

You really just need to be less sympathetic. Crush your opponents. Make sure you use your down taunt to spike vertical recoveries. Land Ike's instant kill with Quickdraw. Be extremely disrespectful. And most importantly fight for your friends. Don't give your opponents any sympathy. Be ruthless...

Why do you main Ike then? It's better to have confidence in your character. At least in my opinion. No offense meant by this.

That's why it's so important we get tournament representation and make top 8. I'll be attending Summer Jam in Philly, NY this August. And trying to attend at least four tourneys per year (funds are limited).

You have to drop from the ledge (press down), then immediately jump and use QD as soon as possible after the jump. If done correctly you'll get invincibility frames and stay on the ground. Hope that helps. Is this still possible in 3.6? I can confirm for you tomorrow.

It is amazing how when I'm exhausted and favor offensive play, I do absolutely terrible with Ike. But when I'm wide awake and play more conservatively, I tend to destroy many solid players. You really need to be awake to play Smash/Ike.

I don't know if anyone watched ZeRo's video about Ike impressions following 1.08 patch. But he places Ike at the top of middle tier, and possibly the bottom of high tier if "played perfectly". I wondered if you guys shared these impressions, or if you would place Ike higher/lower on the tier...

PM Ike D-smash is still not that great. On a high level it is still rarely used. Watch Ally, Metroid, Strong Bad, etc. You see it almost never to be honest.

I feel asking to buff U-smash is a bit greedy to be honest guys. It has annoying sour spots that would be nice to buff, but it's still one of Ike's best kill tools. And I would argue, one of the best U-smashes in the game. Although painfully slow, it kills fairly easy with rage. And it catches...
