Update: started making friends in my scene in STL. I've done better in bracket improving to 2-2 most tournaments, definitely different playing Cloud in Ultimate rather than Sm4sh. I still love him but he just isn't as dishonest and I need to improve on how to play him now rather than the Sm4sh...

Depends on the players play style as cloud. As somebody who used to play cloud heavily in Sm4sh I'd transfer over the same method of playing against him into SmUsh, which would be not allowing limit and as the KING using your projectile as an advantage.

Melee already is good as it is the reason they don't put it in HD already is because there are no online patches. Melee is the way it is and nobody can necessarily change it besides PAL and NTSC which is a challenge already learning both as it is.

Is this generally what all players do for Melee? What's the difference between playing on the wii by itself and with the UFC and softmod?

This is very true even M2K stated this, went to a local playing cloud and he just felt way nerfed and not the character from SSB4 I loved to play.
