I think that Olimar definitely will have a chance, if you take a look at the boards, a ton of the posts are proclaiming Olimar is "unbeatable" or "top tier." He's also in my opinion, the funnest character to use.

Actually I agree on the wolf part. It took me a few times to beat him on SSE until finally a pokemon actually killed him.

I don't claim to be a master at Olimar, but I would recommend, watching NC_Echo's guide at the top of the page and watching his videos. As far as tips go, I think a good point is to get a decent amount of spacing between Olimar and your opponent and maybe latching on a few Pikimin followed by a...

I found Pit amazingly annoying in the beginning because of his up b and side b but not I adapted to it and it's no longer a problem.

As an Olimar player solely because I loved Pikimin 2, this is good news since it turns out my main is actually good.

I use it sometimes when my opponent is in the air. I dislike the angle though, I wish it was straight up, it would make it easier to hit in my opinion.

I'm at the maze part which is really fustrating, but the cutscenes make it all worth it.
