Watch Armada vs Hungrybox's Fox if you wanna see how I personally think it should be used. Hes a master of spacing it, and he applies safe shield pressure with it. Its slow startup makes it kinda difficult, but you can get used to it. Randomly throwing them out will probably get you Dash dance...

ive been playing this mu a ton lately, and the more i play it the worse it seems for yl. His nair and knee eats the boomerang, with good DI he will almost never die to the side, hes the hardest to kill off the top with dair, and he combos us to hell and back. One thing i always have trouble with...

Why is Mario above YL on the tier list..? what does he have that we dont?

Ah, ive been aiming to hit with the hilt for my nairs, which is probably costing me enough frames so that i get hit out of my combos. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. PK fire is just just so low-risk high-reward it seems. I avoid most of them but they kinda just spam it till it hits me. and it seems like ness also has an easy time mashing nairs/dairs out of my combos.

Tips against Ness? I cant avoid all his cheesy crap, eventually i get hit by PK fire and into a janky combo D:

never get shield grabbed, nairs oos to punish, dair->uair->fart as an optimal kill combo, bite to catch people in shield after a uthrow onto a platform or when youre falling to the ground (mixup with falling aerial), tech chase meaty side B, offstage side B edgeguards... thats just off the top...

ik this thread is a it older but i have to say im in a similar situation. i recently happened to play ness and found out he was infinitely more fun than any top tier to play. ive yet to enter a tourney with him but when i do, im gonna win and its gonna be hella awesome cause ness is just too sick
