Hmm, I was trying to do that, but I couldn't make it work. Have you successfully pulled it off without using the grab button? I have had L set to Attack since forever ago for dacus and I tried using it. I'll try again.

While I totally agree with this, I haven't found another way to cancel a dash item toss any other way than initiating it with the grab button. So while you aren't technically cancelling a grab, maybe there is something more to it because of this.
