Showgingah

Hey there. My name's Maleko. I am officially a Link/Young Link main of melee. Wish me luck. These are a some questions with answers about myself.

Q: How did you come up with the smash tag 'Showgingah'?
A: Long story short, I went from Triforceslayer, to TriforceAvenger, to The Afroman, to Chouginga, to Showgingah. Showgingah is an indirect reference to Chouginga Gurren Lagann and Ultraman Ginga. My favorite Mecha series and one of my favorite Ultramen in general. If you wonder how to say it look up how they say Ginga in the show on youtube then just place the word 'show' before it. Or just call me Show.

Q: How long have you been playing Smash?
A. Casually, since my elementary years where I only picked Link and made jokes saying Link has a gun (Ray gun). Competitively, in general a few years, but melee wise, probably about....7-8 months (As of March 24, 2017, happy birthday wind waker).

Q: How did you find out about competitive smash?
A: Wombo Combo...and Mew2King getting 3-0'd by Emukiller.

Q: Your history with Smash?
A: As short as possible, I started competitively with a fan-made game called Super Smash Flash 2. At the time they just released online mode so I started to do so and eventually ended up playing in Challonge tournaments. I usually only made 13th or top 8 and was able to make a name for myself in that community as one of the top 3 Links. Specifically as the no projectile Link. After a still long continued wait to this day for the latest big update, the community has been dormant and Ive slowly been drifting away. Then I started up Melee, and boy was I in for a painful realization of meta. If my SSF2 Link and Melee Link fought, SSF2 would just destroy right now so I started to learn this new Link. After attending a few local tournaments and resulting poorly, eventually I met another smash player, Ridz, in my college class. He's been helping me ever since and I am thankful for that since in reality there is no other way to truly get better.

Q: Most hated character?
A: If you pick Falco, I temporarily will hate you.

Q: Why Link?
A: The Legend of Zelda. First video game franchise I've ever played, grew up with, and my favorite video games of all time. I can't stand its community though.

Q: Do you play anyone else besides Link?
A: Actually before I even started Link I was maining Ganondorf because of BizarroFlame...only to realize being heavy is painful. I do play Mario, but when I do, you'll notice I only do it to mess around, but I won't sandbag, promise. Eventually Ill bring up Ganondorf again and one day learn Zelda and Shiek. Ill be the Triforce of Smash lol.

Q: Any Link mains you look up to?
A: Aniki. But there is so little footage of him playing...As for Young Link, I hope I can be better than Axe, but I'm still far far away.

Q: What's your playstyle?
A: Before it was aggressive, then it started before more projectile defensive. After Breath of the Wild, I decided my playstyle will be that of Flurry Rush. I'm practicing that as we speak. Wish me luck.
