    Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

I think the point of not giving him the name was to make Bandana Dee seem like just like one of the countless Dees in Kirby. He's un-special, so he's relatable.

Kirby does love it's nostalgia. Would be an obvious reason to use a preexisting character.

Waddle Dees have been known for spears ever since Right Back at Ya! . So the Waddle Dee representative can justify having a spear. Why that over Parasol... Spear was new at the time of Return. (Also they later gave Bandana Dee a parasol in Robobot and Battle Royale.)

Capitalizing on the popularity of Waddle Dees, likely. Also, easy to add to Return as a Spear clone. Then they needed a assistant for Triple Deluxe and it went from there.

    Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Bandana Waddle Dee, since Return to Dream Land, has essentially become the fourth main character. (His first appearance was in Super Star Ultra as a supporting character in Revenge of the King) We're talking playable in Return, assistant in Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot, and Team Kirby Clash...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

Alright! Two ties in a row! (It's funny how my more standard stages lost and these completely wacky ones are the winners.) Anyways, I don't have a stage for Round 5, (I started playing video games way after the cut-off.) so don't wait for me when it comes to that. Yay, Sonic lost the...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

What date is the cut-off for being considered "retro" in the context of this contest?

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

I'm surprised that the television show is explicitly barred from this round considering how Super Smash Bros. sometimes references it. (Jigglypuff is famous for singing because of the show, and Lucario uses human language like in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, for example.) Hmm... I think I...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

I know that any argument over wether or not to allow Web Browser games will end in me losing, but I'll take a shot at it. Probably not, but this also catches Pokémon spin-offs, which are not made by Game Freak. Mystery Dungeon is handled by Spike Chunsoft, Ranger is handled by HAL Laboratories...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

Pokémon has essentially won... the problem is that I haven't played a Pokémon game in forever. (Lost my copy of Diamond a long time ago and my copy of Pokémon Battle Revolution got a scratch sometime afterward. Then, as if those weren't enough, I lost a copy of White. Since then I've never...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

Well, the day has finally come, despite it being a round later than I expected. Time to share what nutty idea I've had up my sleeve. (Although I'm starting to think that I should just do a simple Ancho-V Games stage instead. But there's no backing down now!) Name: The Octogalaxy Game: Splatoon...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

Just short of victory... Doesn't really help that I love to make stuff from random stages I like rather than the most iconic things. (For 3D world, I'm pretty sure the most iconic stages would be Shadow Play Alley, Hands-On Hall and good old World Bowser. Oh, and Super Bell Hill of course.)...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

You're joking, right? This stage isn't polished enough. Among the obvious misses: No Cat Goombas in the audience? Wasn't this the game with the Super Bell as it's new power-up? No hidden pixel art? Super Mario 3D World was the game that started the trend. (Yes, New Super Luigi U did it first...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

Kinda in a rush here this will be a little unrefined. Also, no image for the stage's layout. Anyways, without further ado..... (Peach evading a rolling spike bar in Tricky Trapeze Theater) Name: Tricky Trapeze Theater Game: Super Mario 3D World Inspiration: Super Mario 3D World made a big...

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Stage Creation Contest (Complete)

When on the 21st will the round end? I'm kinda busy right now so I need exact times to see if I can finish my stage in time.
