He still has the 3 Pikmin he gets when he starts out. All he has to do is not let his Pikmin get hit, not die, and hope to get good Pikmin in the start and he'll do excellently.

You'd think they would be smart enough to know that Brawl being on this thing would only help the support for Melee. I mean, if more people find out about Brawl and like it but think it's too slow, they could always go to Melee.

Jigglypuff is actually very good.

Stafy should get in IMO. He's not iconic, but his series is pretty decent and from Nintendo. And it was strong enough to get into Smash. Saki should also get in. Or if not him, his son.

Different people worked on the SSE and pretty much everything else. Why else would it be in two disks? Load of new characters? No. Sakurai had every character except Sonic and maybe Wolf at the beginning. New Stages? Like I said, different teams worked on them. I think those people worked on...

Lack of 1v1 probably means they didn't want to implement. I'm pretty sure that 1v1 would take less (And by less, I mean like it's not even a problem) time to program than FFA. Probably if it didn't have SSE more characters could have gone in... or we could have gotten some other crappy...

By some out of 1200, it must mean like billions. I don't think anyone is so crazy generous to do more than a few, if any.
