Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Also, Rex's "second costume" would certainly allow Rex to exceed people's expectations design-wise, but its association with OP-ness might would set standards for a moveset that can't be met. Especially if Mythra isn't as equally involved as Pyra.

This. Which is entirely realistic when you think back to how Nintendo collaborated with Monolith to soften the impact of Mythra's Spirit being censored. (Seriously, a Spirit got the source game to update itself to include the new appearance as a costume!)

Unlike telling Xander Mobus to read off a selection of real and fake names pre-release as an anti-leak measure, contacting Al Weaver and Skye Bennett too early would only increase leaks' likelihood, I think.

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Yes, since it's not like Pyra would be the fighter. Are new Pyra lines needed for Rex's taunts? Are new Pyra lines needed for the victory animation? Her (and Mythra's) level of involvement might not call for it. And I assume permission wouldn't need to be given if this is any indicator, though...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Worth noting that Ultimate is now retroactively changing Spirit Battles in ways beyond just Fighter, since Min Min's now has new music provided you own the Fighters Pass/Challenger Pack. (You still fight Corrin though.) EDIT: Except I'm dumb and it's actually still Dragon Driftway from Mario...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

A VA expressing excitement for their current project could never reasonably be a violation of NDA, no matter how few other roles they're known for.

"I PROMISE it’ll be worth it though!" I'm holding her to it.

KOS-MOS Returning to Battle: DLC Season 2.

Most of what made KOS-MOS seem likely to me was her existence as a technicality. A way to directly represent Namco (who at this point still only has one fighter on the entirety of the roster), and indirectly represent the massively under-represented Xenoblade/Monolith while still conforming to...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Xenoblade not getting FP2 representation when DE is one of two noticeable Nintendo releases for the entire first half of 2020 (and when the rest of it may just be Mario rehashes but possibly not even until Q4) will truly be a crime. There are some who say it only makes logical sense for the...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

When Shulk, Melia, and the two Nopon are shown exclusively together like this both in and out of game, I dunno what other conclusion to make. Could they be like Tatsu and not have a role in combat? Well, yes...except for the fact that in-game they're shown carrying weapons. (And if you don't...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

It looks like the two new Nopon will be functioning as a two-in-one third party member. Explains their close proximity and how both of them could be on the field at once.

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

I predict that a story titled Future Connected is referring to connecting the futures of XC1 and XC2, meaning Rex will appear. Possibly via Dharkon that dimensional rift.

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Looking at how things are now, it may seem like a strange omission that there aren’t any new fighters from “Xenoblade Chronicles 2” and “ARMS”. However, this is because they needed to be included from the very beginning at the planning stages. - Sakurai, Jan 2019 If Rex doesn't get in after all...

KOS-MOS Returning to Battle: DLC Season 2.

I've seen multiple people downplay (well, more like completely dismiss) the idea that a KOS-MOS fighter could be representative of XC2 in any capacity. This isn't about if she'd fall under the "Xenoblade Chronicles" banner in-game; this is just about if Nintendo would even consider the Xenoblade...

Rex Drives into Battle! (Xenoblade 2)

Sakurai picks the songs (aided by suggestions but still ultimately up to him) and composers decide which ones from that list they want to arrange. Songs ignored by them are included in the game in their original forms.
