I really do hope the rumors of a remake/remaster are true for multiple reasons. Most of all, I'd love to replay the games in a new light with update graphics! But at this point I'm afraid our chances of Isaac to make it into the next Smash game are pretty low unless we get that remaster. But...

Well, here we are again. At the end of Smash. Yet another Smash game without Geno truly getting in. A familiar melancholy. I will continue to hope that Geno gets in next time. There will be a next time, there always is. And I will never stop hoping for the characters I want. Because I know...

I suspect Sakurai's "I want him playable" comment is honestly just his answer to every character that people want in. "Sure, I'd love to have them playabe". He just leaves off the "...but it will never happen for reasons."

Deeply disappointed, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'll never get a single character I want in Smash.

Even if Geno doesn't come to Ultimate, I will still want him in Smash. I'll be there for Smash 6, I'll be there for Smash 7. My belief that Geno would be a fun, unique, and interesting character to have in Smash Bros will never be broken.

The problem is there is no proof one way or another. We don't know if it was tampered, but we equally don't know if it wasn't. I think it's completely fair to still hate a character's inclusion after they are added. But it really doesn't matter, because they're in and you can't change that. But it also doesn't change the fact that I don't think Plant or Byleth should be in.

I mean...the game does need to be updated to add the RFID# number of any new amiibos the game needs to support. It's a tiny change to make. My understanding is: New amiibos are being released on X date A new fighter is finished and ready to be added The game must be updated to add the new IDs...

Apparently the Joker and Hero amiibos are already supported (added in the Small Battlefield update), so I don't expect the next character until some time after they come out.

Copypastas? I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Geno, is in fact, SMRPG/Geno, or as I've recently taken to calling it, SMRPG plus Geno. Geno is not an game character unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning SMRPG video game made...

If this post on the smashboards blog is correct, Joker and Hero Amiibo support is already in Smash Ultimate. There will be no need for an update before the release of the amiibo wave to support the new ones. If true, I'm afraid it's very bad news. It means that Sakurai's team knew in advance...

I expect FP7 before the Amiibo wave. But I also am prepared for that update to just happen on its own, without a character.

Eh...Geno is still mostly a Nintendo character in my eyes, and should honestly have been in forever ago. That being said, though, I would love to see more casters in Smash, and Final Fantasy has an abundance of them. I think Black Mage / Vivi / Shantotto would all interchangeably be great...
