Honestly I think it would be stupid to have a legitimate tournament do this, but if it were like a like house tourney a someone's place and it was clear before you showed up you had to do it then that would be fine. Otherwise yes you are an idiot.

Maybe my opinion doesn't matter because I suppose I am not the most... "informed" person out there about stuff in general, but personally I haven't noticed people being that bad to each other. I think really people should just shrug and say "Oh it's a person playing smash hop aboard" and all...

He does, so does toad, boo, hell even spike because he was playable in mario party. As long as whatever game they are in they are basically a playable character who is not like.... filling your group like in Mario sluggers or whatever, they count. Except for (as I said) clones like raccoon...
