My case too for Sora. He was one of the few characters I wanted, but my biggest want not being here made that reveal somewhat sour. That, and KH3 story being pitiful, making me losing my unconditional love of Kingdom Hearts.

We don't know everything, but i'm like to believe that it's Wayforward who asked to use Advance Wars IP to Nintendo first, and not the opposite. Thinking like that would insinuate that AW got another chance thanks to WF's will first.

I agree. If it is a third party, to me, it's either Phoenix Wright or Rayman. Nobody else. But it's most likely of first party, and on that, I would mostly bet on a Zelda character, or eventually an AT upgrade of Waluigi or Isaac.

And, yet, there are a lot of people still expecting Master Chief or other crap on r/smashbros. That's insane how these people are blinded. But it was in the middle of a Covid year, with no E3. Would it have been a normal year, he would have been revealed at E3, I'm sure.

Something to not forget is that characters are here to sell the pass to existing players, or the game to new players, but they can also be here to sell their games of origin to Smash players.

Advance Wars is as much a RPG than is Age of Empires or Starcraft, that is, not at all. This is a distortion of the meaning of a RPG.
