    PPMD's Falco Discussion Thread

oh **** thats sick hey guys i have a question for the fox matchup, because im trying to piece together a solid game plan. long post. main questions are... a) do you guys think shinegrabbing against fox as falco is actually worth it? can i have an example of when you use it, and why? i know...

does anyone here purposely do delayed double shines? Like you shine someone on shield and then just wait (so now it looks like you messed up your jump out of shine), but then as they try to punish it, you quickly shine them first as they try to shield grab or whatever? i originally thought this...

    Answers to these anti-Falco playstyles?

    1. if you feel like you cant laser, move. and when they catch on and realize that you like to move, thats when you mix it up with attacks, rolls, etc. They are dash dancing to make you feel like you cant do certain things and make it easier to react to something you do. you have to do something...

Official Ask Anyone Frame Things Thread

not really a frame data question - more to do with hitboxes and hurtboxes, but i want to just confirm if this is 100% true. so when fox tries to sweetspot the ledge when recovering (either by doing an illusion or a double jump), can falco's down smash prevent the sweetspot? i heard somewhere in...

alright so when you get the hit on her, you do fine. what i noticed though is that you don't take advantage of your lasers enough. don't get me wrong, your lasering is good, but in the first match the sheik avoided your aerials after your lasers quite often by shielding, rolling, and retreating...

How do you properly bait your opponent?

try to simplify baiting. baiting is just acting like you are going to do one thing but then you actually do something else. you know it is successful if you profit from it, and you know it failed if it didnt work out. you can be creative and there are so many ways

Marth Q&A Thread (To replace new thread spam)

thanks. i was wondering since a common scenario that I see in the matchup is Marth doing a fair to intercept an aerial approach, and then sometimes marth gets the grab afterwards

if falco or fox goes for a shine-->JC grab on sheik is it possible for sheik to wavedash OOS to avoid it?

Marth Q&A Thread (To replace new thread spam)

yo if marth lands a fair on fox/falco at low percents (0-20%) does it confirm into a grab? or is it possible for fox/falco to buffer a roll/spotdodge before the grab? sorry if this has been asked before

yo if marth lands a short hop fair on a falco, does it confirm into a grab? or can falco di away and/or down and then buffer a roll/spotdodge before the grab? this is in a situation where falco is at a very low percent (0%-20%,) and is not crouch cancelling.

people feel the same way when i start using the laser a lot more. but you know what? just do it. people say that laser camping is so lame, but it's done to stop people from other forms of camping. so is lasering actually lame?

@bt$ yoo I definitely see the utility of shine-->fade away laser. it IS amazing. i've actually been trying to implement it into my play for a while XD. it is certainly less scary to do against certain characters than some others, but in general it covers so much for its risk-reward ratio. when...

    Question when edgeguarding Fox

when fox is really good at teching your rising dairs from the ledge, do shine -->bair instead when you are faced with that scenario again. if they tech the shine, the bair will still hit fox.

    Fastest Movement Option? Walking/Running

in the situation where your opponent is behind you, just dash backwards. if you are facing one direction and then you input a dash for the opposite direction, you turn around in one frame. and yea, it looks like the "wave surf" is the fastest way to cover large distances if you aren't worried...
