My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

I'm not one to backstab my friends (these are my closest friends), although I think your solution might have to be the one. I might just need to stop talking about the game, stop trying to 'show' what I've learned, and either do it, play, win, or whatever. Thanks guys, and glad to know its not...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

I think you nailed it on the head. Except we like to play in a competitive manner while still playing it as a party fun, game. A good (interpreted) quote example I have is from Melee. "All you do is play the boring characters which are easy to be good with [high tier], and try to press buttons...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

That may be what I'm going to have to deal with. I guess if they choose not to play me, then that is there call. It just inconvenient me if I want to play, I do know some local smashers around me (some pretty **** good ones too), but it requires me to find a slot of time to drive out and play...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

I think it's more about the view of the I hold that they game they dislike. As I stated in my previous posts, my friends are good. They can easily match me in skill. (although I would argue I'm better, however results state we are all equal in Brawl) I've been a member of this site for a long...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

The problem is, regardless of me playing random or not, they are still pretty good. It's not like I dominate the game (even if I play top tier characters). I guess the question is, is there anything wrong with treating smash like a DDR or Guitar Hero pad, where its all about execution and...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

Remember this is not about being good. My friends can clearly stay on level with me. However when I do play as 'Random' it seems to help curve the fun factor upwards.

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

When my group plays, we play 3 stock, items off. Map picking is usually some kind of standard legal map. I think the balance issue holds true though... I always take Smashing pretty serious.

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

This isn't about losing, or winning. My friends are older and don't make excuses. They have proven to be good technically. One argument used is that I treat the game like a machine, with virtually no imagination. I play to get better at my execution these things are what I find enjoyable...

My real life friends don't enjoy playing with me...

I have been an avid smasher for about two years now, starting with the less popular Smash 64, moving to Brawl, then Melee, and now back to Brawl. Unfortunately to my friends they say I take the game way to seriously, one of there reasons for not wanting to play is that I play to win and get...

    Air-dodging slows velocity.

Hmmm okay. Is it on the list of tactics? Maybe thats where I learned it from...

    Air-dodging slows velocity.

Maybe it's just me, but when I get smashed, I tend to air dodge, and it just seems like the animation slows down my velocity allowing me to recover in some situations where I normally wouldn't be able to. Discuss.

    snake...

When he dashes at you, shorthop backwards (the direction hes coming at you in) then use neutral air to whip him with your stun, then follow it up with a dash, downtilt, up air. You can also use fairs when you shorthop backwards, hes tall enough where he will get hit, and you will avoid the...

    Co-op Event #5 on Hard

The spawn spots never change, when me and my friend did it; I used Meta Knight, and basically it takes perfect timing. If you let a Yoshi go to long, you've lost. Tips: Follow the rainbow Learn where the yoshis spawn (you will learn if you pay attention to each section of the map) Use Meta...

Emularena Grounds - okaygo's house of lulz

This one is located in the UK, but it shouldn't lag for anybody regardless of ping, however if it does try changing your connection type (you can play with two different connections now), if you have a good ping try using a better connection type for less delay. IP: 85.8.131.156:27888
