Here, I actually researched this a little while ago. To summarize: DK's grab is just the tiniest bit shorter than Yoshi's. Fox has the next longest. Pika's is average, it just looks long because his body is so small. All non-tether grabs come out in the exact same amount of time.

I don't think it's the same thing as in your video House. I saw it happen, and I would describe it as more of an edge-cancelling thing...Fox would fly off the edge, edge-cancel it, then immediately up-B again, except it was as if the second up-B instantly fired without the normal charge time...
