    Yeah I also meant it's the same concept in Melee as well sorry for not explaining. The only way you wouldn't be throwing the stock away is if you do a "bombsoilder" dair which is a dair offstage without FF'ing.

    I can tell you right now. Unless you are high as crap in the air and you FF a dair off stage your stock is gone. Dair is a great move off stage but 9/10 you are doing a quick double jump input before throwing out the dair.

    Yeah, a ton of practice like everyone else said. Don't become discouraged when you don't see results quickly. These things take time and a lot of trial and error to learn what works and what doesn't. Even the Gods were scrubs at some point when they started.

    No, not useless. It's still a BNB combo, just not THE BNB combo that it used to be. Most players are aware of what pillaring is and things you can do to get out of it, it's the nature of progressive meta. Learning how to pillar is still very useful.

    I think jab is also a good tool for ledgeguarding. The range and speed are just too good to overlook. Also it can put your opponent in that awkward position where they are in hitstun and can't grab the ledge without jumping or using an up b. If they do something dumb near ledge.

    I should have elaborated a tad more when I made that post, I meant having both of those attributes in unison. Now that everyone's faster to keep the balance, it doesn't make much of a difference at first glance....

    So long as it feels comfortable to you it should be no problem. Be sure to practice doing the dair input at different times (before the top of the short-hop and very late input) and also be sure to practice shine>nair as well. Explore every possibility that Falco can offer.

    I agree, air mobility and lasers are a huge thing that nearly every other iteration of the bird had. I honestly don't get why they took away Falco's lasers. It was his saving grace in both the neutral and his combo game also had a benefit. Now it's a mostly useless special attack.

    I like the idea of both people choosing a character at the same time. That would be fun to see a series of "lightning matches" between two strong players. I think it should go sort of like this: One match is played whoever wins gets a point, difference is you MUST choose a different character...
