    Lucina Custom Move Metagame/Theory

So, is there any use for Shield Breaker? Are the Neutral B's fast enough to be useful?

Need helping breaking the Marth fsmash habit

Try playing some games without: a) using the c-stick b) using grounded moves (that aren't grabs) Wouldn't fly in serious play, but it helped me stop emphasizing the f-smash.

    Marth Matchup thread.

    Waveland grab/cross-up?

when you are in a match do you actually think everything through?

I really only think during a pause in neutral or a protracted edgeguard. How to be aggressive/how to finish. Everything else happens too fast to try and come up with a plan. You need to have the plan before the combo starts.

    Marth Matchup thread.

So I've been hearing how Squirtle loses to Marth and how he's one of the worst in the game, and then I practice against a CPU and find him to be a massive pain, more so than literally any other character. Edgeguarding and comboing isn't the biggest issue (though his up-b requires really good...

Important Carefully Ask PPMD about the Tiara Guy

Really? I thought you needed at least 120+ knockback to hit him out of it. Every time I hit him he just eats it. So, nair if they go high, f-smash on the ground?

Important Carefully Ask PPMD about the Tiara Guy

I think it's the syllable arrangement, three quick single sounds. At the very least it reminds me of Fast Like Tree. Onto the question! I've been having trouble consistently killing MewTwo and Yoshi, given the (as far as I can tell) near impossibility of edge-guarding and juggling them. I've...

    Matchup advice

I think a sufficiently good thread would be stickied, so I don't think it exists. As far as I can tell the "Ask Dr. Pee Pee about Cactuar's Stuff" Serves as both metagame discussion and general social thread, so advice can always be found there, though it's a bit long. Just ask and you should...

    Floaties

I think the general idea is edge hog then punish the forced ledge jump.

    Floaties

Smaller is better usually, and this is a general Marth thing. Platforms are a negative unless you can easily cover them, a la Yoshi's Story.

    Ken Combo Percentages

Don't you need to sweetspot against fast-fallers? I don't honestly know. (Landed a total of 4 Ken Combos, ever :(, only on floaties)

    What language should Marth speak?

I think that you can translate them better, to get his character across. For instance, change 'at' to 'to' and change the intonation in the down taunt, and it becomes a general about to show the way. Not to mention, a victory pose should be kind of cocky.

    Floaties

Juggle, they can't do anything against a good juggle without good aerial mobility, a good teleport or a ton of jumps. Those who have those become more match-up specific. Samus is stupid easy to juggle though, up-air/tilt beats all her downwards options and she can't dance or teleport like a...

    How do you punish spotdodging?

Title says it all really, as I have been having quite a bit of trouble with a friend of mine who times his spotdodges really well. How can Marth, with his laggy moves, punish a spotdodge? Is d-tilt fast enough? Jab?

When would you say the best times to approach are?

Powershield, use platforms, Wavedash oos... there are options. If they can be clanked, jab. If you are in the lead you can pull a M2K and ledgestall. A space animal will probably be wary about approaching Marth by the edge.
