Hey guys! I'm a smasher from MD/VA whose been in Madison for the summer for an internship. I had no idea this thread existed until just now, but I'm really itching to get in some Melee. Anyone here interested in playing sometime soon?

The worrying thing is that the rumors started before most of the money was donated, and the ridiculous amount of money donated so far has been pretty consistent with the rumors. But yeah, everyone, donate to melee. Victory to the proletariat!

That's for the grand prize; there are something like 60-80 1-2 million dollar prizes given out apparently.

In hindsight, our best strategy was probably to spend all our money on Powerball tickets. What's our chance at a prize with 34k$ worth of tickets?

I donated 50$, which is a pretty significant amount of money to me. Sure its a good cause, but breast cancer can get funding somewhere else rather than broke students and blue collar workers (which is like 90% of the melee community). Plus I'm pretty sure its an overfunded cause.

Hard not to care when we've got 30 grand in the hole.

How do I fight link as marth? Idk how to space moves properly, considering link's long grab range. Not sure what to do other than dashdance and wait for link to make a mistake.
