    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

Yeah a video would be cool, this actually sounds pretty neat.

    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

It's a bad edgeguard - it takes too long to set up, is punishable, and is really easy to tech. Just use back air, it's way better for edgeguarding. That being said, if you're looking to use the move for things other than recovery, it's a solid mixup for when people just hide in shield above you...

    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

"If we create a new type of controller interface, and we find a controller interface that's particularly suited for F-Zero, then maybe we'll do something with it in the future." - Miyamoto in some interview Raptor Boost works well too, it's got the perfect range for punishing rolls. Baiting...

Condensing The Omega Stage List (Needs Input)

This is largely where my ideas are coming from, and Lylat is just the most obvious example of it. When you ban a stage, you ban it for a reason. You ban FD because you want platforms, you ban Delfino because you don't want the transformations, and so on. It may also be the case that the reason...

Condensing The Omega Stage List (Needs Input)

I win game one. I ban Lylat and FD. Let's say the Jigglypuff is a huge for glory fan and only wants to play FD. I've prevented Omega Lylat, but I've also prevented getting counterpicked to another Omega, which would be in my favour. It's just an example. Basically I'm saying that if I ban a...

Condensing The Omega Stage List (Needs Input)

Yeah that's right, but if I didn't have to ban FD then I could hypothetically get counter picked there, which is better for me. Sure it's unlikely, but it's still a possibility. Basically I'm pretty sure that every character benefits from wall jumping as a boost to their recovery on straight...

Condensing The Omega Stage List (Needs Input)

Here's my two cents. Let's say I'm playing Little Mac and I'm picking stages to ban against a Jigglypuff. An obvious one would be Lylat Cruise, as the ledges directly nerf my recovery, while Jigglypuff is more or less totally unaffected. However, I could still get counter picked to Omega Lylat...

Condensing The Omega Stage List (Needs Input)

Counter-example 1: Every character with a wall jump benefits more from straight walls than fat lip floaters. Most characters can definitely recover from very low, for example Captain Falcon can wall jump into B-reverse up-B, Fox can wall jump into angled up-B, etc. Counter-example 2: In the...

    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

Flick up on the C stick at around the same time you hit down to fast fall. The move should come out just in time to hit grounded opponents.

    Smash Entertainment - SWEET XVII

I can't not be hyped for any match with Axe in it. Especially one where he gets to whoop SilentWolf again.

Meta Smooth Lander and Heavy Gravity (SLHG)

I'm curious about this too. If anyone has the necessary equipment could they report back on how it works? Heavy gravity for fast falling is nice and all, but it has the unfortunate consequence of making it impossible to kill off the top. The anchor thing might remedy that.

Stock count, Offstage play, and Hype

Stock Count: I like two stocks. Shorter is better, especially in this game. The amount of time a match takes is entirely matchup dependant - if the set you posted was something like Sonic v. Peach, then it would've been much longer. The biggest arguments against two stock are that it's more...

    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

Others here have disagreed with me, but I'm a firm believer that Falcon loses to Pikachu and Ness. Fun fact: at Final Battle last Saturday, ESAM called the Pikachu matchup 7-3 in Pikachu's favour. May not be that drastic, but it's definitely tough.

    Stages?

It's also worth noting that down air can spike through thin platforms, like the ones on Halberd and Delfino. Up B is also good for recovering through those platforms since it's a command grab, you can surprise people with it.

    Q&A FALCON ASK !! Q&A and FAQ

I have yet to see anything practical come out of the perfect pivot. If you have any recorded matches, or know of any, mind posting them? Right now it looks like a very situational tech people are hyping up too much.
