Will Little Mac be banned from tournaments?

The only bans I've heard of are Meta Knight from Brawl (if briefly) and almost Sheik in Melee, until it became obvious that Fox and Falco were a bit better, if more difficult to use to their fullest. What I'm saying is that people are jumping to conclusions.

Little Mac is the New Roy!

When I read the title, I thought, "Not worth using unless you're a fan of the character because there's someone else who can do everything he does, but better?" Sorry, I'm not a big Roy fan.

Your Most Frustrating Times In Smash

    - Meeting Up with Giga Bowser: If I went by too fast, I'd get sloppy and die easily. It didn't help that the fastest characters - especially C. Falcon, Fox, and Falco - are the ones I generally have the most difficulty with. But if I do things carefully, I can't make it in time. I still haven't...

Sakurai's column from Famitsu issue of November 21st, 2013

They say that Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is the primary sport of New York City. It has four characters (all Marvel) who are clearly better than all the rest, as well as plenty of characters (mostly Capcom) who can do barely anything. Still popular, mostly due to the SHEER NUMBER of glitches and...

Why does everyone hate Subspace Emissary?

I loved it... until I got to The Great Maze. Playing through nearly every area again, to fight every boss again, was just tedious. Even without it, SSE would have been more than long enough. At least the level and boss afterwards were fun. I can't really comment on the plot, since I knew most...

Casual Stages You'd Like to See

I have come up with a scientific formula. Poke Floats - Wobbuffet = Pure Gold! Flawless logic.

How long did it take you to master Wave Dashing?

    1. I've been using the C-stick all this time. Maybe I'm not quick enough to flick the C-stick in the correct direction. 2. I've tried that method you described. I think it mostly worked. 3. Now it sounds difficult to press down L (okay, R) for such a short time, when I can barely do...

    Buffering issues

@Garet: I was referring more to how vanilla Melee didn't let you use the C-stick for smash attacks for some unfathomable reason. Thanks for the advice anyway. I found the buffer option. In Versus mode. Not Training mode, where you'd expect to be able to train with that option. This makes no sense.

How long did it take you to master Wave Dashing?

@Doctor X: I guess "reaction speed" was the wrong term to use. Regardless, my problem is that most of the time I either shield during the wavedash or I shorthop and then quickly fall to the ground, where I waveland. I still can't figure out how to do smash attacks during it. I haven't used...

How long did it take you to master Wave Dashing?

I got Melee months ago. I carefully read guides on wavedashing so I could start practicing. But first, I needed to learn how to shorthop. That was a real pain, and I still have great difficulty with it. Especially since it was far easier to do in Brawl. I have terrible reaction speed, which is...

    Buffering issues

I remember playing Melee after a month of Brawl: performing moves felt stiff as a wooden plank. I think a large part of it was being unable to use the C-stick for some unfathomable reason. I eventually got used to it, so P:M didn't feel so bad. My discomfort was from a lack of practice, but...

    Just read the Kotaku interview.....

Reading your earlier post, it seemed like you WANTED games to set the bar higher than chess, rather than this just being an unfortunate fact of life. I don't know anymore.

    One thing I don't undertsand about P:M

    What's vBrawl?

    Just read the Kotaku interview.....

I think the_suicide_fox is saying that it's preferable for video games to bar people with poor reaction speed or legitimate disabilities from being the best, no matter how hard they train, because this insures that gaming has professionals. Unlike something like chess, which apparently has no...

    One thing I don't undertsand about P:M

It's a shame I didn't get those "build # of custom stages" Challenges before downloading this mod, but ehh.
