    Why use anything but aerials?

Aerials have a lot more commitment time if you're not a fast faller. Also I couldn't imagine fighting a decent yoshi as marth without grab dtilt and fsmash. It would be a nightmare.

Lol, went out like a complete buster today, at least I learned that Ike v Lucario sucks and made back a 1/3 of the entrance fee from $1 money matches.

You can pick whatever you want. If this is your first, I'm sure everyone (including me) would be happy to help you learn the rules.

    Shield Pressure as Marth?

I think you're wrong here. An up throw can be hell on characters that are fastfallers or characters that have trouble coming down, even if their percentage is too high for a true follow up. Also marth is generally supposed to keep it safe, I mean rouge f-smashes are always an option, but 95% of...

I'm gonna vote for melee, just because I'm so bad at it and wanna get better (Shoutouts to the zelda that 4 stocked me).

If you want I can pick it up for you next time and bring it to you Monday in class if those other options don't work out.

Had a great time, and some great matches, sorry I had to leave a little early, but it did run way long with 40+ people in the venue. I can bring a PM and Melee set-up minus the CRT if you need it next week.

I might not make it this time (Track Meet) but I think a couple more of my friends will, and 1-3 will play smash 4 for sure.

    Marth, the Happy Medium

Personally, I think it's fine to have a main and a secondary or two. Marth is about patient play and baits, and Roy is more in your face aggressive. In project M, there are about 40 match ups to learn, about 3 times melee's amount. Having a secondly will probably help in the long run when you...
