Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

This is the only reason I was reluctant about posting this, I really don't want it to fade into obscurity, but its looking that way. Further clarification: I've only gotten this to work on wiimote/nunchuck setup. We're still having router problems, and I've been getting boned on this one...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

Hey all, sorry for the delay-- I have to work, you know! The only reason I haven't put up vids or sent replays has been my ongoing connectivity issues, and as of this afternoon, I went from a network drop to a connection denied. I'm starting to think the issue is both on the routers we...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

Lol! Wow, guys... I leave for a little while to actually go to work and I come back to this? A proposal and several propositions? I'm still having problems with getting online and staying online, and thanks to nintendo's updated wifi connectivity FAQ, they found another way to shift the blame...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

I heard about that, too, but the method in question (SNBDD) is more of making the D smash travel across the stage. The (SWBDD) is very loose, and offers more flexibility, making that one much more akin to a dash dance than the (SNBDD). This is definitely not "******** simple", but it's not that...

Homing attack DI and Spindash Cancel. UPDATED WITH VIDEO!

Following up on this, I've successfully done a momentum carryover by rolling after the shield goes up in the last frames-- provided you do another spindash/dash roll in the opposing direction. You can tell if there's momentum carryover when sonic launches into the roll and slides backwards more...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

Yeah, since I found out how to do it, I'm practicing it whenever I can. The more you practice it, the more fluid it looks-- the more fluid it looks, the more confusing it is. This one can REALLY pull some mind games-- both the SNBDD and the SWBDD. If I figure out how to chain the two together...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

No, you got it-- I have Z mapped to shield. Its a pretty small window to get the initial momentum though-- I'd say in the precious few frames after you release the B button

    Dash Attack Dancing...

Lol sorry about that-- again, transitioning from GC to Wii, these things don't go noted first time around. Updated the thread to reflect the controller setup. The findings (SNBDD) and (SWBDD) are at the top of the thread, no need to search through it.

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

Certainly. Lets say we're going left. I point left, charge down b a bit, watch sonic begin revving into a ball, and release. Sonic begins to change his animation from "kicking up dust" to "speeding off". In the few frames before sonic actually takes off, the ideal spindash cancel begins here...

    Dash Attack Dancing...

Thats exclusively my shield. I use the standard Nunchuck/Wiimote setup. The only difference is that I have shake set to smash, but that never comes into play.

    Dash Attack Dancing...

Charge the spin dash (down b), release and in the opening frames of the GROUNDED spin dash tap Z-- promptly cancels the spin effect but maintains forward momentum if you cancel late enough.

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

This is really similar to what was done around 6-7, except that'd be more like a... down-b dashout reverse air short hop fast fall air dodge interrupt down b. So... DBDORASHFFADIDB. Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? No really, thats really close to the middle of the 6th step, and...

Sonic Spin Dash Dance? as requested... CONFIRMED!

I know, there are just two problems. One, I simply forgot about the replay feature initially. Two, I only want an SD card for portability, and the off chance that I might be able to do a conversion.

    Dash Attack Dancing...

lol... yeah I was thinking the same thing. Although, I am describing it with alot of detail, it's not really as hard as it sounds when you get the timing down. Its just a constant circular motion with the directional, but with a downward preferance, and switching between z and b. I agree...
