I'm realizing now what the problem is - although I'm adding people to my friends list there is no way to invite or message! Nintendo Online is so trash.... Is there a Discord or anything that would be easier to find people to play/chat with? Or how do people on this board organize fighting...

March 8th 10pm - Brawl Tournament at GameStop March 9th 12am - Midnight release at GameStop So the 8th is really when it starts for me... from 10pm on it only gets better :chuckle:

I was not blown out of my mind by the Link, but considering how long the game's been out he looks good, not beastly or over 9000 or whatever.......but good. The PT didn't seem to be much of a match for him though. Also the Link used the move (the hookshot cancel) too much, many times...

i could see it being useful, but i'm not sure if it would have a high success rate. the chances of the boomerang hitting something by then seem high, not to mention the timing would be dependent on a lot, especially as to whether or not you're forced to move around, etc.

Utilizing the pull back on the boomerang will definitely be important, however unless you've played the game there's not much point in speculating as to how the mechanics work - not to say that it can't be done, because it can, but just saying that it's probably a lot harder to pull off than you...

Were you a Young Link main in Melee?

TL seems to play more like the Link from Melee - he's faster and easier to combo with. I don't like playing with weaker characters though, so I would sacrifice speed for Link's strength. I won't make a total switch, that's for sure, but I could see myself playing TL a LOT more often than I...

But then you gotta ask yourself... "Why do I need all these characters, especially if they're the same?" And then you sulk in your chair, depressed once again.

Eh, I could say it did, since now I know pretty much all about the game. But really, I didn't have to go to the Dojo, or go on SmashBoards, or Brawl Central, etc. It was my choice to look at all the spoilers, so I can't really complain.
