Most schools don't allow "gambling" and the hours for their facilities wouldn't support a tournament (9-5) on Saturday..... let's face it, most tournaments will run later than that, esp if it's a big crowd.

That's why my best suggestion is around the holidays. People are traveling as it is, and if they have relatives in Texas, that's all the better (HoChiMinh Trail from Chicago for example). Plus school isn't in session. So the latest possible time would be something around Thanksgiving. Or right...

don't worry, even if attendance is low, there will be good players there and we like friendlies.
