Overall, I hate using Yoshi to fight floaters. It's so hard to get anything started, and when you do, your punish only get you like 3 hits at best, and that's only in the low percents, but then there's that godly combo-breaking Nair. I have a friend with a very smooth Luigi, so I have some MU...

I do not see that match being 70-30 for Yoshi. Fox has guaranteed waveshine followups, u-tilt and Bair wall out Yoshi, and he can edgeguard his recovery very well. Yoshi only has his gimps and punishes, but you'd have to get past Fox's dominant neutral, and you edgeguarding him is a pain unless...

Can we also bring up that Ken is incredibly rusty at the moment? He's nowhere near the splendor of his glory days, or everyone just upped their game far more than he ever has. Lack of practice does that to you.

Yeah, you're right. It's fair, but this is by far the easiest way I gimped spacies. I never played Sheik or Marth in Melee, so I didn't have that luxury before.

Okay, it's been a while since I came back to this thread, and all I'm hearing is dudes neglecting the use of this tech. It IS technically a stall, but you can't do it much in 3.5 now, but the main function for this is to make returning to neutral easier, or better, go straight into a punish...

Some matchups could be worse now because of that tail shorten. I think the Marth matchup is now worse because he outranges him now, but Roy's more favorable since it's easier to gimp him than Marth.

I use float the most on my punishes and walls of back airs, but I'm experimenting with other ways I can use it in the 3.5 version.

I feel you, man. I play against a Diddy all the time in my area, and every time I try to counter his item game, It's a lost cause. Eventually, I was forced to use Mewtwo and Fox to counter the MU, but this was back in 3.02. Haven't fought 3.5 Diddy yet, but I know he's not stupid good anymore.
