Finished up my moveset for these two.

Finished a moveset for one of the spies. I also included links to references I used for the moves.

So.....I was willing to give the roster the benefit of the doubt, but after seeing the DLC choices, I'd officially call it mid or outright bad. I don't even think the chosen characters are bad on their own, but they make little sense when looking at the current omissions.

Thought I'd give my thoughts on each of the newcomers. And an overall ranking.

Considering how many characters a Smash movie would have, even if they just focused on the original twelve, I don't imagine they could properly develop everyone. So I'm not hoping for any adaptation.

I've seen a few episodes. Didn't find it that memorable.

The Mario movie was fun. The best thing I can say about it critically is the animation was great. It was kinda rushed though, with multiple moments that could've been touching if more time was dedicated to them.

We already knew a lot of this, but I doubt we'll be getting any time ever.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I agree with you. I prefer to keep the roster as WB-focused as possible, so the game can say it has a focus.

DC and CN will probably get more characters the soonest. Other than more GoT reps, it'll take a long time for HBO to get more characters. I know Tony Soprano is popular though.

I never really cared for Harry Potter in general, so I don't think much about adding characters from it to the roster. But I do believe in separating art from artists. If HP characters got in, I wouldn't really complain.
