I’m pretty sure Petey is a boss, and this is Mario/Kirby Adventure mode… Or maybe you control more than one character per Game? Remember the video at first, the Primid appears, and on a screenshot, we see mario in the arena fighting Primids. That’s what happens then. Then the video switch...

And I totally agree with EdwardGordon! Bosses characters make the adventure mode way better, cause fighting the other characters, well its for multiplayer mainly xD We’re used to it…

You seem to be forgetting that Meta Knight WAS on the first revealed Adventure Mode screenshots. Wich means you can play as him in it, as you will most probably be able to with all characters… BUT… I think If you choose Mario or kirby, you get one version of the story, etc… So Petey isn’t...

Homeless, I know simply because lately all characters like Pkmn Trainer and Ike had a CHALLENGER APPROACHING banner, Wich means one of 2 things. 1. They are secret characters. 2. or just to say they are newcomers to the game. I’d say they are unlockable.
