In addition to what has already been said, Cloud LOVES jumping from ledge because his ledgejump is so high. Learn to cover it with full hop (no less) fairs or other aerials so you can make sure he gets punished.

It's a very finnicky input that's hard to get without practice. If you're pressing the control stick down twice then you're doing it wrong, which is how I too used to do it :P The "control stick down --> release jump" stage should occur veeery quickly. Some were saying that it's easier to do...

He is "Z-grabbing" the turnip, which means that he uses the grab button (Z on Gamecube Controllers) to grab the turnip and not an airdodge (which may also be performed with Z with incorrect timing!)/aerial attack. Z-grabbing takes better timing (practice in Training!) but is vastly better...
