    The new Roy Strategem discussion

Roy's Ftilt actually goes below him, so if I remember right, a well timed Ftilt has a better chance of hitting a recovering opponent ( it hits them before they can touch the stage ) Also if I remember right, doing aerial flare blade does the same thing in terms of hitting below the floor.

Released! Ashes to Ashes: A Roy combo video

Got a little tear reminiscing when I used to play smash. I gotta pick up the stick this weekend. Good stuff Sethlon, I hope this wasn't a retirement video.

    Things to know about Roy.

Hey Genx, don't worry, the roy thread is one of the hardest threads to write in due to the fact that everybody sucks at roy ( because roy sucks ). You were actually right about maybe half the the stuff you said, but you should try to play some better competition to put together a better game...

So do you plan on trying to do a comeback tour?

How long has it been since you played seriously before that tourny?

    New Roy Social!

I'm talking about when Roy hit's a character, but a quick search has just provided me the answer I needed. There's nobody who has the info or any way to get it, so whatever.

ok, thanks for the info KingClubber. Just out of curiosity, does the master hand program happen to give you any information on roy's hit-stun frames?

Bone? What are number ratings in terms of distance? Pretty much the whole chart, but more importantly it appears as though this was quoted information. Where does the original thread come from if there is one? That's what I'm most curious about.

I'm not sure if I completely understand how to read the chart, is there an original thread where this is quoted from?

    Roy's Defensive Stratagies

Yeah, countering out of shield can be tricky, because if you jump too early and get off the ground, the counter stops your upward momentum which usually puts you in poor placement for the counter to catch whatever attack was coming. So in order too get good placement you have just after the...

Exarch laying down the hammer...:smash: goodbye thread

    Roy's Defensive Stratagies

Counter can actually really useful for making your opponent think twice about throwing out certain moves. I generally have two rules for countering the first being only counter moves that you see coming ( in other words don't guess ) 2. When and if you have to guess only do so if there's a good...

    DED is a boss.

Ok, I wasn't sure what you meant by JC'ing the ded. Another thing to remember is if you air dodge, you will lose your "prime." This means WD'ing makes you lose it as well since WD counts as an air dodge. I would have to test it out again to remember anything else about this trick. Also calling...

    Roy's Defensive Stratagies

Thanks for quick responses you guys, I have some links that i'm going to post and hopefully get around to some frame stuff later on this evening. Again if the roy's are ever going to step their games up, it's going to take some great defense. EDIT: Alright I'm done with marvel for now, now I...

    Roy's Defensive Stratagies

I'm just trying to get an idea about how the Roy players view defense, especially Roy's character specific strategies. For instance we all know that you can shield an attack and then wave dash out of shield, but how does that knowledge help Roy? That was just one example...what I'm really trying...
