Falcon Players Unite... 2016, Where We At?

A healthy mix of both optimal play and good reads and mix ups is what will bring Falcon to the top. S2J is the best Falcon right now, and there are so many times during a set where he does something so sub-optimal that he will usually end up losing the set or game because of that decision. Good...

    Early grab combos?

Well it depends on which type of character your facing, are you talking fast fallers or floaty characters?

Options for Mario to recover against Pikachu with?

I've been starting to learn how to play Mario so I can drop playing Pikachu all together, mostly to change things up a bit in my scene to make final matches not just Pika/Pika or Kirby/Pika. The hardest thing for me to do is recover against pikachu as he can easily gimp mario at pretty much any...

    Approaching the Peach Matchup

The Peach matchup is one you have to treat delicately. You can't just throw stuff out and hope to catch them off guard too often. Your spacing in this matchup needs to be pristine otherwise they can catch you with an instant neutral air or that oh so dreaded down smash. Neutral airs for the...

How do you Approach Teams as Falcon?

I'm a rather defensive person I any game that involves a team, so I generally am a stock tanker regardless of who I team with. This is just how I play though, but for me at least falcons best aspect in teams is how easily he can stock tank.

Is practicing 20GX stuff actually useful for a very new Falcon?

For sure, its extremely useful stuff that has up-ed my game a lot. The main things I have practiced pretty well at this point is tech chasing with wavedash out of shield, better dashes from ledges, pivot aerials with proper drift, etc.. After you start to master this stuff you can really see...

Late 1st hit nair into grab?

This option is actually incredible and one of my favorite things to do against Marth and Peach as it can lead to really high percents from a grab at 0 percent. It works on most characters but more reliable and easier on floaty characters. I decided to try replicating your light shielding problem...

Any Tips ? or tricks for Cpt.falcon?

The thing with Melee is if you try to main/secondary a lot of characters and try to get good with all of them, you won't really progress at the rate you want to. If you really want to get good with Falcon (Which I recommend highly), you should really drop the secondaries, at least for now...

Official Captain Falcon Video Critique Thread

Soon you will be able to get the 20XX hackpack if you never get a Wii since there will be a solution to load it from a gamecube memory card. I think it's being debuted and released sometime around whenever SmashCon is happening.

How do you get back to the stage safely when hit above the stage?

Oh I knew the phrase "Don't get hit", but I just wanted a real answer. But yeah I do mix-up DI, I tend to waste my second jump in bad situations though, I never really pay much attention to that.
