    One last thing I noticed is that DK's F-Smash doesn't have its sourspot's damage and (if applicable) its BKG / KBG values. DK's hands are the sweetspot, but his arms are the sourspot.

    It always did, but it required the opponent to be at a high %age, given the low base knockback and low knockback growth. It also needed a sweetspot when performed in the air, so that could be the reason you didn't see it often beforehand.
