Would this be a good place to write about my attempt to play really good melee? If so, here's what I've got organized as a 'system' for getting as good as possible, as quickly as possible. It's fresh and untested so I will follow up over the months to tune it up.
"We don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training."

After years of hyperspecializing in fox to the point that I was glazing over when my character wasn't on a screen, I've come back after years of rest to see about embracing melee in her entirety. No more falco hatred.
The definition of 'system' I am using here is as follows:
"a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method."
thanks, Oxford.
The thing I am doing is trying to get meaningful things done for a bunch of gamers by beating them at melee and then telling them how to better beat each other. More specifically, rank 1 in my tiny local scene sometime in 2021. Rank 10 in BC by 2022. Rank 100 worldwide by 2023. Post material here to support my friends in doing the same, and to get their feedback on my thoughts. That is all.
The principles in place can be summarized: Have a good time, work damn hard, be honest. More on this at your request.
The procedures in place will be the focus of this here wall of text. To start, I will make my task sheet publicly available, so y'all can see exactly what I'm up to, and how my actions are guided.
here's your commenting, viewing, copying access.
That is the system's nucleus, and is meant to at least reference if not directly link you to every single contributor to the system I use. By the way, I have another copy of that sheet for personal use, another yet for professional use, and one more still for practicing and learning karate. It is a great format for doing things intentionally! Here's me thanking Mike Sturm for designing the template, and I guess David Allen for designing the 'GTD' method. It is helpful.
That'll do for now. Thanks for your time! Tell me how you feel about this post.
