how do people figure out frame data...

Is there accurate japanese frame data around? I've found some sources using google translator but it's a little confusing as to whether it's accurate or not. Also, should I assume there's no hope in getting this information from nintendo in some way? Here's one source I found...

    Jab Possibilites

I find that if they're spot dodging the grab in the jab->jab-> grab you can actually fsmash when the grab timing is and it'll hit them on the recovery of their spot dodge. Pretty sweet way to to land fsmash if you ask me. It seemed to work a lot vs my buddy anyways. Anyone else do this?

    This idea seems pretty interesting.

Do you still have hope for Ike?

Do I still have hope for Ike? Yes, I do.

    100 Things Great Ikes Do

#18 Use side B to close in on your opponent. It let's Ike unexpectedly close in faster than just running and recovers very fast if it whiffs. (A lot of these entries could involve side b.)

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

I like the street fighter references. I was sort of thinking the same thing too. I think brawl is a different animal and that it's too soon to establish it as competitively less or more worthy than melee. People are learning more about what you can do in brawl and there are some new techs...

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

Yeah I understand there's a countermeasure for the pit player to this but is there one that doesn't give Ike another option. Like what does pit do to an Ike who might do this? I'm asking cause I'd think he'd either change his arrow timing, create more space by rolling/running, try fair/bair...

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

I think his whole point with the Ike vs Pit's arrows scenario was to show that it's possible to overcome camping/projectile spam and that there can be great rewards when you do, even though it's a little difficult. The whole aether-fsmash scenario could be a bad recall, situational, or a...

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

I think Azen does something like the walk up/powershield approach at 2:50 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Gzh-x5rPjM I mean he still fairs over an arrow but he walks up and powershields to set the spacing for the fair. This aether into fsmash thing I don't know anything about though.

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

Could you show me a video of somebody really abusing this to where the other play couldn't do anything to stop it. I've had trouble when I play Ike vs Wolf but I just blamed myself on not finding a better way of dealing with it. Smash is pretty weird compared to other fighting games...

The Brawl-Melee Debate: A Different View

I wouldn't call David Sirlin a no name. He's a pretty smart guy who has done a lot for competitive gaming. He wrote a book called "Playing to Win" which a lot of people have found helpful and interesting. It's available online now so you can read it for free. I really hope you thinking i'm...
