The same kind of thing will happen with Diddy Kong, if after recovering from hitstun you jump and up+B at the same time. He will move upward while charging the barrels, similar to this. Probably the same mechanics at work.

You can downsmash or use his forward aerial to kill too. Problem is, a lot of his KO moves are also nice for building damage so by the time you need to use them you've weakened them with the stale moves effect. But yes, if you had to categorize him, Diddy is one of those characters who does...

What time do the tournaments start? Theres a midnight release at mine, and a big one, so I assume there will be a tournament.

That's his Side+B, and Danimals should have recovered but was probably laughing too hard at the time to care.
