At the very least, NASB 2 opened with 2 big characters. They also had to redesign everything from the ground up but they were up front about it. The only thing they were quiet about is cuts but it's an understandable reason why they had to cut characters. Here? They just refuse to say anything...

Janet Varney retired from the role citing that she wants someone of color to take over Korra. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason all the ATLA cast got replaced (Azula is voiced by an asian actress now for example)
