Shulk Glitch - All Monado Powers in One

Does it work if you cancel the Art while inside the egg? Or just if it cancels naturally?

Unfinished Battle - Shulk Video Archive

Also, quit using dash attack and Back Slash altogether. Approach with fairs and nairs--much safer options. I noticed that every time you switched Arts, it put you at a disadvantage in the battle, and would get you rekt by better players. Read the Monando Art thread for some advice on that

Q&A U WOT M8 - Shulk Q&A (READ THIS MESSAGE: PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A THREAD)

If they're close and just whiffed, drop shield and use f-tilt forward or backward (depending on if they're behind you or not). Shulk's grab is really bad for punishing unless they're right on top of you, and f-tilt will deliver a lot more damage anyway. I tend to shy away from OoS Air Slash...

That's interesting...can you cancel an Art while being held in a grab/pummeled? I know you can cancel during hitstun but I haven't tried during an actual grab I'll have to go try it.

Social Shulk Social : Starting to feel it!

People play him enough, and I think that he's a very good character, but not high tier. What trips opponents up in the matchup is how extreme his sword range really is (especially since the other sword characters' swords got shrunk from Brawl), but once they learn how to space properly and learn...

I think that most people don't use it because it makes you into combo fodder at any percent below about <80%. From watching videos of the majority of Shulk players, they often get killed before Shield becomes a good choice. I definitely agree with you that it's a good Art, especially for dealing...

@Masonomace it did help, but how do you stay safe/win the neutral when almost all of Shulk's options can be punished by a shield-grab? I find myself getting shut down repeatedly (at least online, which doesn't really count because lag) by campers with fast, repeated projectiles and people who...

I've been playing with them in training mode and it doesn't look like the max B-reverse distance is any different between the arts, but it does seem like you have to time the reverse differently for each one

Q&A U WOT M8 - Shulk Q&A (READ THIS MESSAGE: PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A THREAD)

If it were me, I'd stop going aggro with Buster and let my opponent approach. If they start camping or stalling, switch to Speed or Jump and make them uncomfortable (my favorite are empty jumps mixed in with SH nairs and fairs). After a bit of conditioning, I'd switch back to Buster once I had a...

    Help with some Shulk Matchups

Online I don't enjoy Speed as much just because of the lag so what I do is play vanilla up until my throws/tilts can push him offstage and then get easy gimps using Jump (vs Falcon) With the Links, I find that Toon Link is more obnoxious than normal Link. If you go in with Jump on either of...

    Back Slash

That's cause it's just a standard B-reverse. It was a tech in Brawl that they continued into Smash 4. All neutral B moves can B-reverse and I'm almost certain it's the same case for side B's and down B's.

    Down B Follow Ups?

depends on their fall speed and percent. if you do the wavedash back, you can follow it up with a turnaround f-smash if you can time it right, along with pretty much all of Lucas' aerials and even the OU Burst. my personal favorite is the nair because it works a lot and can extend your combos...

The next iteration of Lucas. The subject of balance.

@Eisen while I acknowledge that upsmash is really good, I don't think it needs to be changed that drastically. If they do change it, I would prefer just a (slightly) smaller hitbox when using OU. The reason I say that is because, compared to Fox's upsmash, it's bigger, but it's also got much...
