If the main goal is to make the stage list more fair and competitive then I think the best option is one stage(Battlefield only). But the current stage list is much better IMO.

These were probably two horrible examples. lol Friendlies is a term used in multiple sporting events; they are usually exhibition matches. Dittos sounds much better than mirrors or mirror match IMO. Seriously, Mirrors sounds so awkward to say.

Well I bet he didn't exactly know the extent that Brawl helped us. To me it just seems like a friendly "Where you at?" to the brawl community. I don't see anywhere that would make me think that he is saying we are more split than ever.
