Not instantaneously on either count. Besides, does Bowser's invincibility protect him from being knocked backwards?

Young Link has other options. Giant's Mask at the start of the battle, then squish. Bowser would be faced with a Link who seems to be the size of the moon. Honestly, what answer is there to that? At that point, his sword could just knock Bowser into the stratosphere.

Couldn't Samus also steal any objects with the Grapple beam to prevent revival?
