    Sonic General Discussion/Social thread

So yeah. 3.6 Sonic is permanent. I'm thinking about getting back into this game now that there are no more updates.

I am a WI Sonic. I attend some of the events in Milwaukee.

    Sonic General Discussion/Social thread

Have you noticed the percents you usually miss at? I think it misses at higher percents. Honestly, it's been so long since I've been in the lab with Sonic, I can't remember this stuff anymore. I just remember that at some point I decided short hop aerial or wavedash were safer choices out of...

    Sonic General Discussion/Social thread

If the grab never comes out, you're missing the timing. I don't know if it's possible to DI Side-B out of grab range. You can certainly mess up Sonic's Side-B with crouch canceling, but that isn't going to avoid the grab. I don't know the percents for comboing Down B into dair, but I do know...

Marth Q&A Thread (To replace new thread spam)

So, double jab to edgeguard the Side-B, then use d-tilt or neutral-B to edgeguard the inevitable Up-B? Or are you talking about using d-tilt and neutral-B to edgeguard the side-B?

Marth Q&A Thread (To replace new thread spam)

Alright, here's my noob question: After jabbing a Fox using Side-B to recover to the ledge, what is the optimal follow-up? I've gotten into bad habits from fighting a lot of Falco's. I always go deep and end up getting hit by the fire during the charge up stage of Fox's Up-B (obviously not an...

Was sonic buffed or nerfed in 3.6?

Just got to play in a small Tourney today. I really like 3.6 as a whole, and I think Sonic fits in well. I still don't like Ivy though...

Was sonic buffed or nerfed in 3.6?

I like the animation changes on his Side-B. His movement looks even smoother than before.

Official The 20XX Melee Training Hack Pack (v5.0.2 - 1/20/2023)

Is there a code that forces CPUs to spot dodge after teching/rolling? Basically the same way the spacies will shine after teching/rolling. I feel like it would be helpful for knowing if you dropped a combo. Also, people get me with spot dodges all the time.

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

For some reason I thought Sonic's downtilt was slower than Marth's. But I just checked and it's actually the same (at least the startup is). In that case, then maybe just extend the hitbox so it covers the full length of Sonic's foot. That move is just a little too clunky to be useful IMO.

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

Doubts on the top speed or the acceleration?

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

^ Those seem pretty good actually. Can... can we have a faster down tilt too? Pretty please?

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

I wouldn't expect the PMDT to remove the special fall state from a missed homing attack/blast attack. Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't make it cause special fall in all cases except on-hit. Crazy good recoveries were one of the biggest elements they wanted to take out in the 3.5 patch. Sonic...

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

I'd be down for a top speed nerf in exchange for a faster acceleration speed. If they gave him a longer wavedash that would be really cool too. That would bring him a step closer to having that really fuild motion that characters like Fox and Marth have.

    [Speculation] Sonic 3.6 Changes

I'm expecting few, if any changes. The balance is pretty good right now.
