I honestly have trouble believing the 2014 thing. How would this source know who was considered and who wasn't? Unless they have a connection to whoever from Nintendo made these decisions, they shouldn't have that information.

I have mixed feelings. The soundtrack we have is amazing, but I'm a bit disappointed that the Earthbound remixes are just of songs that were already remixed for Smash. And "Battle Map 5" not actually being in the game is really bumming me out. Twilight of the Gods was my most wanted Fire Emblem...

Holy crap, Crocodile Cacophony is up there with Gangplank Galleon in terms of godlike remixes. I really hope Fourside isn't the only new Mother song we get. I mean, I've been expecting no songs at all but that's kind of eh (I still want to hear it but you know...). Edit: I just realized that...

I think there's a chance at least one of the Fire Emblem characters might get their final boss (maybe Medeus since being in Marth's games ties him to the history of the Awakening cast even if he isn't in.) Roy was probably the least likely to see his due to his weird placement in the series. But...

Honestly the main thing to me is that Nintendo is handling the DLC choices, where as there is no indication anyone but Sakurai and his team are handling Spirits. And while it is true that Spirits, being largely just PNGs, could have potentially been added after the DLC was decided, at this point...

Unfortunately I can't hear the song well enough. The Spirit is Olaf from Advance Wars.

I would not be shocked if Porky returned from Brawl as the final boss for Ness and Lucas (and presumably appear in World of Light as well.)

Since this song was kind of worried about due to the new remix, I'm really glad it's back. Low key one of my favorite songs from Smash 4.

Masked Man has been my most wanted character since Brawl. I don't expect Mother to ever get new reps and I'm fine with that, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't love it if they added him or Porky (preferably the Earthbound version since the Mother 3 one fits more as a boss imo) as playable...

It actually sounds like a part of End of All, which is the final boss remix of Lost In Thoughts All Alone. Like the small flourish that appears at 1:17 and 1:43 of this song. (Note: I chose the Revelation version of End of All, but the Birthright and Conquest versions are the exact same outside...
