I wouldn't really say Star Fox's future is uncertain. If it was, why would Nintendo put Star Fox 2 on the SNES Classic? Plus, Nintendo has gone on record to say that they aren't done with Star Fox just yet.

I really hope Wolf get's a updated moveset. Not to say that his old moveset was bad by any means, but it could use some touch-ups. Like, how about that "Lightning Tornado" maneuver he does in Zero? That would work pretty well as his Up B. Or maybe make his gun one of the weapons from Assault? Or...

If Wolf comes back, his reveal trailer (assuming he gets one) should start with Fox and Falco fighting a bunch of random characters on Lylat Cruise, with Wolf saying "Can't let you do that, Star Fox."
