i had this trouble myself, im not sure if it will work for you (and you wont have marth to do it), but take your memory card out completely, then play through like you are going to get the trophy. this time once you do it without continuation you will get the trophy.... then i quit and went...

either dont jump so far out and try to predict where they will be at the last few hits of the drill... or if you cant change how far forward you jump, youl have to predict how far you will go while drilling and try to space so that the parts of the drill connect, but i find if im moving fast...

sounds like a glitch.... lol old news bro... now find somethin new if you can... cause no ones really lookin anymore... and im sure there must be at least one glitch we missed somewhere along the ling, the possiblity is just too great...
