Hi! I'm a new Mario main from Ottawa, Canada, and pretty new to Smash in general. I wanted to find some videos on how to play Mario, and I started to compile a list of everything I could find on YouTube. One thing led to another, and before you know it I had poured a lot of hours into finding...

I always thought you wanted to be throwing out the up air as late as possible, like right before you hit the ground and l-cancel to move on immediately. But I guess early up airs is where all the combo potential lies with Mario?

I love how every one of Mario's moves have a use!! This is probably one of the most special case moves, but at least it pops them up a little to get something going

Some of these are hilarious. If it's that easy for you to make small clips, you should look for all the best combos you and your friends pull off. Then make a video connecting the clips.

I like to put level 9 handicap (level 1 on myself) on a level 1 bowser, with damage at 0.5. This way you can practice l-cancelling really easily. It's easy to see results. Then when the bowser is finally at 999%, you can practice low percent combos on him. Kill him, and start again.

Does Mario's speed allow him to benefit from an aggressive play-style, more than Doc? I have often heard Doc should be played by always waiting for the perfect moment to get in, and get back out. If Mario can be played more aggressively, this would certainly make playing him much more...
